Ralph Ross Bell, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX. Ralph was born on November 18, 1940 in Victoria, TX to Joellen and Thalbert Bell, who precede him in death. He grew up in Sulphur, Louisiana and attended North Louisiana State. In 1961, Ralph went to work in the Oil Patch with Wilson Supply Co. His territory covered all of South Texas. In 1976, he was a founding partner in Cinco Pipe and Supply, Inc. On October 3, 1969 Ralph married the love of his life, Billie Bryant. Together they enjoyed 41 wonderful years and a life full of walking horses, traveling, and just being together. Ralph was an avid hunter and fisherman, and many happy hours were spent around South Texas and Hill Country camp fires.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Billie Bryant Bell of Conroe, TX. Sister, Sylvia Jordan and husband Lynn of Greenville, SC. Daughters, Peri Lewis and husband Richard of Oakridge, NC, Paula Gay McKay of Denver, CO. Sons, Russell Bell and wife Kitty of Santa Barbara, CA, Ross Bell and wife Karen of Euphoria, KS. Granddaughter Kaci Lewis, grandsons Nicholas Lee, and Todd Lee. Nieces, Beth Smith, and Julie Cragg, and more friends than most people could make in two lifetimes.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. A Funeral service on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel, interment following at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
