On July 7th, Phyllis left her cocoon, spread her wings and flew happily to her Maker. She was born in Houston in 1948 to Alexander William Galbraith and Phyllis Exall Galbraith. She attended St. Anne Catholic School, Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart and the University of Arizona. Phyllis was a product of a liberal arts education that continued long after she left the classroom, striving for the beautiful, the true and the good. Shakespeare was a lifelong friend. Gifted as a singer and pianist, Phyllis was passionate about many kinds of music. She labored with love at her gardening, needlepoint and cooking. Phyllis truly understood how to live her life in Christ. She cared deeply for her family and friends, assisting them with her empathy, wise counsel and prayers. Her lively demeanor, quick wit and wonderful smile will be greatly missed.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and by her sister, Dorothy E. Galbraith. She is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, Donald Edward Fisher. Phyllis is also survived by her uncle Henry Exall, Jr. and aunt Marion Exall, her uncle Peter P. Stewart, by her uncle John J. Bourke, by her brother Alex T. Galbraith and wife Martha R. Galbraith, her sister Alexandra M. Galbraith, her brother William E. Galbraith and wife Emily J.Standish, by her nephew Alexander E. Galbraith, her nephew Matthew T. Galbraith and wife Fawn N. Galbraith, her niece Alison E. Galbraith, her nephew Eduardo Andre Galbraith G. e Costa, her niece Alexandra Maria Galbraith G. e Costa, her great-nephew Henry H. Galbraith, her great-niece Dorothy S. Galbraith and by many cousins.
