My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Phil Baer. Phil was a classmate of mine at Chaminade High School in Dayton, Ohio and a terrific person. 


Phil and JoAnne were some of the first people I met at Oakridge Ranch back in the late 90s.  We were neighbors.  Phil and I served together on the board of our owners association in the early 2000s.   Phil was such a nice person.  He had an easy, pleasant manner about him and it was a pleasure to know him.  I remember seeing him out on hot summer days controlling a huge walk-behind mower along the road in front of their property, a tough job in the Texas heat!  And I remember a party he and JoAnne threw at their pavilion in the woods with some of his family playing music.  It was a great time.  My thoughts and prayers go out to JoAnne and the family in this difficult time...
