Petra Gutierrez

Petra Gutierrez, 91 of Houston, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019. She was born June 29, 1927 in Paige, Texas to Tranquilino Carrizales and Hilaria Turrubiates. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother who loved to cook, garden and crochet. She loved puzzles, being with her family; she was very independent and very active. She was a great MOM and GRANDMOTHER.

She is survived by her daughters, Juanita Hernandez and husband, Martin; Maria G. Casares; grandchildren, Jessica Hernandez and Mario Hernandez, Vanessa Gutierrez and Stephanie Casares; along with 2 sisters and 1 brother and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sabino, her son, Juan Antonio Gutierrez, her daughter, Maria Esther Gutierrez and 4 sisters and 1 brother.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home from 2:00pm until 5:00pm with a rosary being recited at 4:00pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 18, 2019 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Serving as pallbearers will be Alberio Alzate, Mario Hernandez, Ruben Gomez, Brandon Frank, Carlos Wilson and Martin Hernandez.
