Percy LaFleur Jr. was born December 6, 1955 to Percy LaFleur Sr. and Genevia Riggs in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The family relocated to Houston, Texas in 1957 where Percy was educated in the Houston Independent SchoolDistrict, Jack Yates High School, San Jacinto Trade School, and Houston Community College.
Percy met and married Beverly Courtney and became a father to baby girl, Allisa Nicole LaFleur. Percy later met and married Edith Richardson; they have been best friends for thirty-two years and are parents to daughterGeanna Marie LaFleur and Malcolm Jarod LaFleur.
Percy was a devoted lifetime member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, where he served in various capacities, most notably as an usher and a representative for the Hospitality Committee.
He was a fan of classic and exotic cars, animals, and in more recent years, he enjoyed traveling. He was a fantastic cook and enjoyed great food and great drinks.
Though he will be missed, the family knows that he will be in excellent company as he is preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents (Riggs & LaFleur), his father (Percy Sr.), uncles, aunts, his father-in-law, his sister-in-law, andhis favorite cat grandson Chase.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife Edith, daughters Allisa (Rashaad) and Geanna (Justin); son Malcolm LaFleur, goddaughter Deija; granddaughters Aaliyah and Melina, mother Genevia, sisters Eva Marie and Cynthia, brothers Michael Ray andBrian; and a host of aunts, uncles, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and friends.
