Peggy Tremble’s thirteen month battle with pancreatic cancer ended on Good Friday, March 25, 2016 in Houston, Texas. She was born on April 4, 1938 in Borger, Texas to Allen and Bea Bryant. She is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Ron Tremble, her sweetheart and classmate at Borger High School.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved brother, Allen Bryant, and his wife, Margie. She is also survived by her children, Dan and his wife, Julia, Rhonda Jo Hill, and Don and his wife, Barbara, and her grandchildren, Codie Jo Hill and Ron W. Tremble, and her step-grandchildren, Colin Gray, Taryn Gray, and Karye (and Bryan) Maine, as well as great grandchildren, Joseph Hill Vaden and William Henry Vaden, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Additionally, she is survived by her sister-n-law, Phyllis Wilson, and her children.
Peggy ran the show at the family business, Clouse Wood Floors, for over forty years. She was known as “Ma” by her grandchildren and was a mother to many. Though she enjoyed adventurous traveling with her husband earlier in her life, in her later years, her family, the family business, and her church were her life. Peggy was an active member of Spring Branch Presbyterian Church where she served as a ruling elder, a member of the Fellowship committee, and sang in the choir for forty years.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 7th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas. The Service of Witness to the Resurrection will begin at 11:00 am, on Saturday, April 9th at Spring Branch Presbyterian Church, 1215 Campbell Road, Houston, Texas 77055. A reception for friends and family will begin immediately thereafter.
