Pedro “Peter” Vargas Jr., 78, of Houston, Texas, passed away on October 13, 2020. The funeral service will be held at TBD at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at TBD at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home.

Pedro Vargas was born in Laredo, Texas on May 2, 1942. He graduated from Martin High School and continued to become a successful salon owner and hair stylist, opening his own salon, Peters Shear Elegance in Houston. He will be remembered for his warm smile, sense of humor, his love of drawing and music and of course his magic dancing feet, Kung Fu moves and his love for the Dallas Cowboys. Pedro Vargas was married to Rosa Vargas. “Peter” and “Rosie” had a collaborative and caring relationship. It was based on mutual support and a deep love for each other. Pedro is survived by Rosa, his children, Neftalie Gallegos, Yvonne Tobias, and Monica Westbrook, several brothers and sisters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and many other family and friends.
