Pete was born in Beeville, TX on July 24, 1940 to Pedro and Olivia Soliz. He attended A.C. Jones High School and Beeville Community College. In 1962, he decided to serve his country and joined the United States Army, where he served his tour in Germany.
In 1965, Pete moved to Los Angeles, CA along with the love of his life Angelica (Angie) C. Soliz. They married in Los Angeles and brought two daughters into the world, Joanne Soliz French (Gary Harris) and Kimberly Soliz Christy (Scott Winebrenner). In Los Angeles he was employed with The United States Postal Service.
Years later the family of four relocated to Pasadena, TX. Pete worked as a truck driver for Central Freight to support his family. He loved being a “simple minded truck driver.” Pete took great pride in his appearance from his combed hair, shaved face, starched jeans, and shined shoes. He was proud of the profession he had chosen.
As years went on his family of four expanded and he was made a Popo. The Lord blessed Pete with three more girls, Deena-Rae French (Jay Flores), Suzanna Marie Christy, and Charly Leigh Yzaguirre (Ernest Yzaguirre). After waiting 40 something years he was finally blessed with two great grandsons, Isaiah Soliz Garcia and Ashton Carter Flores. Followed by his boys were Yanira Marie Garcia, Aaliyah Angelica Yzaguirre and Angel Yzaguirre.
Pete loved spending time with his family above all things. He enjoyed watching sports, playing golf, playing Happy Color on his phone and taking care of his yard. He was a devoted fan to the Dallas Cowboys, LA Dodgers and the PGA.
Pete also leaves behind siblings Tony Soliz (Cruz Soliz), Marilou Longoria (Daniel Longoria), Ray Soliz, Gloria Crawley (Bill Crawley), Bobby Soliz (Susie Soliz) and several nieces and nephews.
