Pedy was born on August 3, 1945 in Hagonoy, Bulacan in the Philippines to Bonifacio and Aniceta Palermo. Pedy was a Safety Engineer for the Department of Labor in the Philippines until he retired and moved to Houston, Texas. Pedy graduated as High School Valedictorian in Hagonoy Institute Philippines. He graduated at Mapua Institute with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering and then pursued a second degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a 3rd place board top notcher in Electrical Engineering licensure exam. He is a parishioner of St. Jerome Catholic Church.
He enjoyed music and was a self taught guitar and keyboards player. His passion is singing with or without an audience. He enjoyed playing chess, gardening and cooking. He loved watching Rockets and Astros games and lately he started watching the Dallas Cowboys too. He has a good sense of humor that only the closest people in his life truly appreciates. He was a trained martial artist in self-defense and combat fighting. His family has always been his number one priority and upholds high family moral values. The dearest and happiest moments of his life was spent with the love of his life, his wife of 48 years, Mafe and his "apo" Joseph; the apple of his eyes who brightens his day with hugs and kisses.
Pedy was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Mariafe Palermo of Houston, TX; son Oliver Palermo and wife Khay Palermo of Houston, TX; daughter Jennifer Grant and husband Bradley Grant and grandson Joseph Grant of Houston, TX; brother Guillermo Palermo and family; sister Herminia Alarcio and family; Lilia Palermo and family; Marita and family; Nerissa and family; and a host of cousins, nephews, in-laws, family and friends.
Pedy was the Patriarch of the family. He will be greatly missed and will be forever in our hearts.
The Palermo family would like to give a special thanks to the Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital and staff who took great care of him in his final days of life.

A funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079. A committal service will occur Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.
