Paulette P. Fain & William David Fain

I had the extreme pleasure in my early career to have worked with & for both Paulette & Bill at the City of Houston. I was a back-up admin for Paulette by her choice. We met as I would drop off department correspondence to her on a weekly basis. That is how she learned that I spoke French - how excited she was as she was very fluent. And then she learned I could read & write shorthand so began the french shorthand post-its! I held Paulette as my mentor and adored her deeply. Bill worked as an Engineer in my department, Wastewater Division of Public Works. How much luckier could I get?!! Bill was a sweetheart and a true gentleman - most perfect person for Paulette. Bill & I would drop by each other's office and we would chit chat about this or that. Bill always had a story to tell and like Paulette, just the nicest person. One night they both surprised me by coming out to Spotts Park to watch me play softball. I am so lucky to have been blessed knowing them both. Bonheur eternel... je vous aime touse les deux!

I had the distinct pleasure of working with Paulette Fain and knowing Bill. A more dedicated and loyal employee than Paulette you will not find. In the 1990s I worked with Paulette in the Dept of Public Works and Engineering at the City of Houston. Paulette was even tempered and her French accent was most delightful. We are all richer in many ways having known Paulette and Bill. We will certainly miss them.

We have missed both of our dear sweet neighbors of more than 20 years here at Kerry Glen. Both so kind, so sweet. Whether borrowing a cup of sugar or milk when short in a recipe or just a chat with Bill when walking Oscar. They were wonderful people and good old fashioned neighbors. We are so happy they are still together as they always were. God bless them both as well as all their loved ones. They have been missed since they left our community and always will be. Their daughters, Patricia and Kathy were very welcoming to me when I asked if I could call their parents, "Mom and Dad." They have become my extended family now and I am eternally thankful for their love and friendship. My condolences to my "sisters" and their loved ones in this time of loss of both Bill and Paulette. May God give you peace, knowing how much love and care you gave them, especially in the last two years of their lives.
