Paula Lopez

Born November 20, 1936, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, Paula was one of 9 children born to Maria De La Luz Guerrero and Patrocinio Blanco Garcia. In 1955 she married Juan Lopez, who preceded her in death. In 1981, she moved to Houston to continue building her life together with her late husband. Despite the struggles they faced as immigrants, they both worked hard to ensure all of their children were happy and achieved their goals. Paula is survived by her children, Maria Candelaria Martinez, Leonor Madga Lopez Grez, Juan Guillermo Lopez, Roberto Lopez, Victor Enrique Lopez, and Andrea Elizabeth Lopez; her brother, José Santos Blanco Guerrero; and 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Paula loved her family and enjoyed traveling to visit them. She loved to dance with her late husband, took pleasure in spending time in her garden, and loved to cook.

A visitation for Paula will be held Monday, January 23, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo Navigation, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77093, during which a rosary service will be held from 7:30 PM to 8:00 pm. A final visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003 followed by a chapel service from 10:30 am to 11:00 am, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. A committal service will occur Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm at Morales Cemetery, 912 Buschong Rd, Houston, TX 77039.
