This is a white peace lily plant from someone who gave to our Grandma at her funeral.  It survives nearly 9 years even though I haven't really taken care of it well and it almost died a few times because of my neglect.  While Grandpa was in the hospital for 3 weeks,  it began to gain strength, produced more new leaves, and finally bloomed flowers when Grandpa died at the hospital. At the time of Grandpa's death, it produced 8 flowers as if they  represents her family: husband, wife, and 6 children (2 of them have deceased). Right after her husband passed away, its condition is the best since I first brought it home 9 years ago.

Đây là cây lan ý đã được phúng điếu 9 năm trước vào đám tang của mẹ gia đình chúng tôi.  Nó đã được giữ lại để làm kỷ niệm không ngờ sống đến nay mặc dầu không được chăm sóc kỹ lưỡng.  Trong lúc ông cụ nằm nhà thương 3 tuần thì bình bông từ nhiên khỏe mạnh và bắt đầu mọc thêm lá rồi bắt đầu ra hoa vài ngày trước khi ông cụ mất.  Khi ông cụ mất thì bình hoa có 8 nụ hoa. Có lẽ nó tượng trưng cho gia đình ông cụ gồm có vợ chồng và 6 người con (2 trong 6 đã từ trần). Bình bông này lúc ông vừa mất là đẹp nhất từ khi mang về 9 năm trước.
