He was born in Lucedale, MS on May 23, 1922 to James and Annette Mallette. He graduated from Lucedale High School and went into the Air Force in 1942. He received an honorable discharge with the rank of Staff Sergeant at Camp Shelby Mississippi on Sept. 6, 1945. In 1947 he married the love of his life, Aliene Smith Mallette.
In 1950 he graduated from Mississippi State University with a BS in Petroleum Geology and minors in Chemistry and Physics. In 1950 he began working for Nalco Chemical Company as District Sales Manager and retired in 1985 as their Distribution Manager. In 1954 he joined Oak Forest Baptist Church. He loved this church and the people like family.
Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Aliene Smith Mallette, his parents, James K and Annette Mallette, his brother, Thomas "TW” Mallette. He is survived by his son, James Mallette, wife Ann; daughter, Joan Fenner husband Fulton; granddaughters, Elese Herridge husband Paul, Lauren Riggs husband Robert, Ashley Mayorga husband Manzino; Grandsons, Michael and Kyle Mallette; Great Grandchildren, Ava, Madeline and Garrett Herridge, Avery and Brittain Riggs, and Scarlett and Stella Mayorga; sister, Jimmie Ann Eubanks husband Charlie; nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews. He loved spending time with his family.
We want to say a special thank you to the people at Elmcroft who took great care of dad.. We are forever grateful to all of you who went the extra mile. Thank you also to Crisis Care LVN'S, who treated him with care and dignity. To those of you who sent cards, called and visited him you brought such joy to his life, thank you.
