He leaves behind his wife, Sarah Conley-Guzman; sons, Gabriel Guzman and Jordan Conley; grandchildren, Noah and Vanessa; siblings, Larry Villa, Maria Flores, Sylvia Cortes, Brian Guzman, Gary Guzman, and Elida Arjona.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Dora Guzman; and brothers Adam Guzman Jr. and Daniel Villa.
He had a deep love for his family, which was always at the center of his life. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing with his sons, and cherished yearly camping trips to Wolf Creek Park in Cold Springs, Texas. An avid Houston sports fan, Paul was a loyal supporter of the Houston Astros, Rockets, and Texans. He also loved to barbecue and spend time with his grandchildren.
Paul graduated from John H. Reagan High School in 1979, where he played football and track. He worked as a batch operator and later as a shipping/receiving supervisor. He was a proud member of First Baptist Church Rockwall.
Known for his fun and humorous personality, Paul was always the life of the family. He stood for what was right, helping others, and was always checking on his loved ones to ensure they were well. Paul’s wisdom, strong presence, and love for family left an impact that will be remembered for generations. He taught life lessons to his nieces and nephews, telling stories that captured everyone’s attention and imparting words of wisdom that will live on.
Paul will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His legacy of love, respect, and laughter will never be forgotten.
A celebration of life for Paul will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 at 9:00 AM at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 W 34th St., Houston, TX, followed by a reception from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
