Patti Jo Lester

Patti Jo (Whitenack) Lester age 59 of Houston, Texas departed from her earthly life on Saturday, August 16, 2014. She leaves behind her loving husband of 28 years, Henry Lester. Patti was born July 6, 1955 in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and Marilyn ( Lee) Whitenack. She graduated in 1974 from Libbey High school in Toledo than moved to Houston, Texas in 1978. Patti worked for many years as a sales assistant in several different brokerage firms, the last being UBS Financial Services. Patti was known for her quick wit, infectious laugh, and her Irish Potatoes (affectionately known as “Patti’s” Potatoes.)

She is preceded in death by her mother Marilyn; her grandparents, Charles and Bonita Lee, Rev. DV and Mildred Whitenack, and sister-in-law Lupe Kovar. Patti is survived by her husband Henry; father, Robert Whitenack; siblings, Penny Noyes, Chuck Whitenack, Kathy ( Tim) Oehlers, Bobby ( Cindy) Whitenack; father and mother-in-law Guido and Lupe Weiss; sister and brother in-laws, Rosemary (Ignacio) Dominguez, Tony, Gary, Glen, Eric, and Gloria Lester and Nicole ( Roberto) Larios. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends Jeanne and John Smith, Ellie and Dennis O’ Conner and Martha and Ray Shivelhood.

A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. A second memorial service is being planned in her hometown of Toledo, Ohio at a later date.
