Patsy Edwards, born on January 26, 1949, in Hillister, Texas, peacefully passed away recently. She was the cherished daughter of the late Maybell Busby and her adopted parents, Jimmy and Rosa Miner of Beaumont, Texas. Patsy entered eternal rest after a life filled with love, joy, and devotion to her family and community.
She was united in holy matrimony with her beloved husband, James (Pony) Edwards, in Houston, Texas. Together they were blessed with five children. Patsy's devotion to her family was unwavering, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to be cherished.
Patsy's faith was an integral part of her life, having been baptized at Haight Missionary Baptist Church at a young age. Her commitment to her church remained steadfast for over forty years, serving as a testament to her unwavering spirituality and dedication to her beliefs.
In 1966, she graduated from Elmore High School, marking the beginning of a life defined by hard work, determination, and kindness. Patsy dedicated many years of service to the VA Hospital, from where she eventually retired. Her commitment to her profession was only surpassed by her love for her family.
Outside of her professional life, Patsy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed playing Bejeweled, dancing, and occasional casino trips.but her greatest joy was spending quality time with her family, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Patsy is preceded in death by her daughter, Irma Edwards, as well as her parents, Maybell Busby, Jimmy, and Rosa Miner.
She is survived by her loving children, Antonio Edwards, Shebrenna Tangarife and her husband Humberto Tangarife, Jame Edwards and wife LaTasha Edwards, and Damon Edwards. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Tamisha, Derris, Monica, Jimmy, LaJame, Lamar, and Breanne, along with her great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives. Her good friends Edna Williams and Thelma Hines.
Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
