Pat was born in Rexdale Ontario Canada and was raised in Thistletown. He graduated from Ryerson and had a successful career in the gas and pipeline industry both in Canada and Texas before opening his own consulting firm. He loved sitting in his backyard, where he had created a fantastic garden scape. He enjoyed having a beer at the end of the day, watching the hummingbirds. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He survived the passing of his parents, Evelyn McDermid and Donald Porter, his brother, Brian Porter and his sister, Karen Morris. He is survived by his wife, Carol, his three daughters, Catherine, Christina and Patricia, and his three grandchildren, William, Joy and Catie.
A celebration of life visitation with the family will be held Oct 19/22 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 9149 Hwy 6 North, Houston, 77095.
A private memorial will be held at a later date for immediate family and selected friends.
