Pat Riley was as loving wife and mother of two children, a wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother.
Pat graduated from Pasadena High School in 1947. Pat worked as a court clerk in Harris County before retiring. She later served as a part-time teacher's aide with the Pasadena ISD. In April of 1948, she married Harry E. Riley. They raised two amazing children, Danny and Deborah.
One thing you can definitely remember Pat for, she loved her city Pasadena and always stood up for what she believed in. Pat served as District E's council member from 1991 to 1999. She served as mayor pro tem from 1998 to 1999, and ran again for the council in 2009 and in 2015. Pat was an active member of the Pasadena Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association. Other groups she had been involved in included the Pasadena Historical Society, the Grandmothers Club of Pasadena, and the San Jacinto Day Foundation. Pat was also involved in the Pasadena Rodeo Committee and many fundraisers. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.
Pat was preceded in death by her father, Andrew David, her mother, Inez and husband Harry E. Riley. She is survived by her two children Deborah Hawkins and Daniel “Danny” Riley, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 PM in the Grand Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
