To my family:  The Carr and Pittman’s,  I know Patricia will be missed by all who loved and knew her, cherish the beautiful memories and great times you shared with her.  May the memories of her beautiful smile, soft spoken voice, and sweet personality ease some of the pain in your hearts. 38 years ago I gained a “Bonus Sister”.   Not many get to say they had a sister in law who became their friend.  I have been profoundly impacted by your life and will always cherish all the days we got to spend together, especially the last 3 months of your life.  Our many long talks, praying together, reading devotions, and sharing scriptures  has helped increase my faith and showed me how to stand strong in the midst of  any adversity.  You never lost  hope, and continued to fight no matter what was thrown at you…. almost like Job in the bible.   What stands out the most to me is when you always said ….”even if HE don’t… I will continue to stand”.   I marveled at your endurance even through the toughest battles.   I always loved it when you introduced me to others with great emphasis that I was your “ONLY SISTER IN LAW”……   Oh my gosh, how I will miss you tremendously.    My heart aches with the pain of knowing you will be absent from family gatherings, and missing at the dinner table.   I will miss your crazy jokes, and infectious laugh.  I hang on to the fact that you are no longer in pain and is rejoicing in heaven, and that makes all of this bearable.    Until we meet again, I will do my best to honor God, you, your family and your memory.     Rest on sweet lady, your legacy will live on!

Sister Patricia Pittman was a good friend, God sent angel. Who loves to help and encourage everyone she knew.  Her faith and love will always be in the heart's of everyone who knew her. Because of her love, the word of God she shared with us. Will forever be in our 
 hearts. My sister in Christ has gone home to be with her heavenly father. But remember the words of wisdom she has left with us all.
