Patricia was born in Corpus Christi, TX. In her junior year of high school, she moved to Houston with her sister and graduated high school at Incarnate Word Academy in downtown Houston. Tricia went to work for Talent Tree Temp Agency and then LJ Melody & Company. In 1987, while at Talent Tree, she met the love of her life, Lance R. Lewis. They became engaged in 1989 and were married at The Houstonian on March 2, 1991. Tricia would say her proudest accomplishments were being married to Lance Lewis, as well as being the proud mother of David Lewis (28), and Michael Lewis (24), and also being a mother to all of her pets including her current dogs Jessie and Lacey.
Tricia loved her family and countless friends from her neighborhood, bible study, school, previous jobs, and more. All would agree she was a true social butterfly. She ran in many circles including her running group the PHAT Princesses (Pretty Hot and Tempting), her Bible study group The Frequent Flyers, and her dinner group ParTay of 4. She enthusiastically attended Ballet and Pilates Studio by Victoria for almost 10 years. Her neighborhood was one of her favorite places. Though her boys were grown, she was the one hiding Easter eggs in her yard for the younger kids on the block. On Halloween, she enjoyed handing out candy while dressed as a Disney Princess, Catwoman, etc. but her favorite costume was the Good Witch Glynda from The Wizard of Oz. She loved spending time with her many friends; however, her greatest joy was spending time with her husband and two sons traveling to new places, trying new things, and experiencing everything life had to offer.
Tricia is survived by Lance, her husband of 33 years, and their two sons, David and Michael. Being the youngest of three children, she is also survived by her brother Bruce Porcher, his wife Sherry, their two children Peter and Cherise, her two great-nephews Hayden and Preston; her sister Nancy Burk, husband John, and their son Joseph. She is also survived by her cousin Kathy, her husband Bill Alger, and their children, Blake and Amy.
On her husband’s side, she is survived by Mother-in-law Martha Lewis, his sisters Marcy Lewis and Shari Porter, with her husband Phil, and her daughter Nina L. Ford with her husband Nate, Dr. Neil Lewis, his wife Nancy Strauss-Lewis, their children: Annie Lewis, husband Yosef Goldman, with their children Zoey and Shir; son Adam Lewis and his wife Stephanie and their daughter Eliana.
Tricia lit up every room and found joy in everything she could. Because Tricia was such a vibrant person, please feel free to wear vibrant colors and/or accessories in her honor. In place of flowers, please consider donating in Tricia’s name to her favorite animal rescues listed at the bottom.
