Patricia Lamb Griffin, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022 with her family by her side. Her memory and love will always be with us. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and indomitable spirit. She is preceded in death by her parents Marguerite Splane Lamb and Clarence Lamb, husband Oscar Griffin, brothers Clarence and Michael Lamb, and son in law Scott Horne. She is survived by sister Mary Sue Jenkins, daughter and husband Gwendolyn and Philip Pryor, daughter and husband Amanda and Alan Ward, son and wife Gregory and Jennifer Griffin, daughter Marguerite Horne, and grandchildren Rebecca, Matthew, Griffin, Lauren Ward, Hannah Pryor, John, and Emma Griffin.
Patricia was born February 20, 1936, in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Liberty High School in 1953. She went on to attend the University of Texas at Austin and married her high school sweetheart Oscar Griffin at the age of 19. After moving around Texas with a young family, she and Oscar moved to Alexandria, Virginia, where she enrolled in The George Washington University School of Design. While living there, she attended numerous White House functions under several administrations. She and Oscar moved back to Texas to continue raising their growing family and take over her father in law's company. After many years, she retired to New Waverly, Texas, to be closer to the majority of her grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am with a rosary service at 9:00 am on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater Boulevard, Sugar Land, Texas. Interment will follow in Liberty City Cemetery.
