I remembered this morning that if I text you, I won't hear back from you. You're no longer a phone call away.  I saw how your passing shattered the hearts of my children. I saw how broken your beloved looked when we went to visit you in the hospital. The evidence is everywhere that you're gone...I just can't believe it's real.  The reality is setting in that the woman that loves my children as much as I do, is no longer here.  I miss you already for the calls that won't happen, that the celebrations that are forever changed... "Thank you" isn't big enough or deep enough for my gratitude for you; the traditions, passion for details, your appreciation for sassy banter and twisted humor. Yahtzee, cookies, cats, meatloaf, chopped pecans, Hallmark ornaments, Burt Reynolds' infamous poster and Tom Jones' charismatic music are all woven into my memories of you. Until there's a better way to say it, thank you. I love you and will miss you until we meet again.

Dearest Pat, words cannot express how you are big part of many peoples lives here on earth and in Spirit. You are a great and loving Wife to Sammy of 56 years, a loving Mother to Kelly and Scott, a beautiful and caring Grandmother to Joe and Grace and a true and dear friend to all of your friends. I will cherish all the great times and all of the memories that I shared with you. You are Truly missed. I will always Love you. God Bless You.

My sincere condolences to Sam, Kelly, Scott and the rest of the family. Although I was no longer around the family anymore, anytime I ran into Pat in the neighborhood, she would always take the time to catch up and chat, in that caring, friendly way she had.  Words are never adequate at a time like this, just know my heart goes out to you all on your loss. Take comfort  in the knowledge that she's reunited with loved ones now, including her beloved cats! Take time to cherish your memories and know how much she loved you all.

Aunt Pat,  my heart has broken knowing you are gone and we won't be able to talk or text whenever we are sending our telepathic messages.  I am heartbroken for Sammy and Kelly and Scott.  So many memories growing up, the Christmases we spent together, the trips to Galveston,  your family trips to Rulo in the summertime.
