Patricia Ann Murphy Baron, of Houston, passed away on Wednesday, the 26th of April 2023, due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease. Patricia was born on the 22th of October 1934, in Columbus, Ohio to Margaret and Paul Murphy.
Patricia loved to reminisce about her early life in Columbus. She attended Catholic school from kindergarten through 12th grade. After graduating from St. Mary’s High School in 1953, Patricia worked for Nationwide insurance. In 1960 Patricia met Will Baron in Big Spring, Texas. They married and went on to have two children, Paul and Wendy. They lived in Big Spring before moving to Tyler and finally settling in Houston. One of Patricia’s favorite things was gathering the family together every week at their home for Sunday dinner. That was after a full Saturday of shopping. Patricia also loved their cross country drives back home to Columbus to visit her sisters and brother and many nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Will Baron; parents, Margaret and John Paul Murphy; sister, Janet Bridgman and brother, James Murphy.
She is survived by her son Paul Baron; daughter, Wendy and her husband David Nockolds. Patricia’s five grandchildren, Taylor Baron, Tom Baron, Cole Nockolds, Grace Nockolds and Claire Nockolds; sister, Maureen and her husband Kevin Winters, along with numerous nieces and nephews also survive Patricia.
A memorial mass is to be offered at eleven o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 9th of May, at St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, 7810 Cypresswood Drive, in Spring, TX.
An inurnment is to follow, via escorted cortege at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, in Houston.
