Ms. Atkins , 94, entered into God’s heaven on Monday, March 5, 2012 in Conroe, Texas. Born in Houston, Texas on February 4, 1918, she lived a full and wonderful life very much loved by her family and friends. Ms. Atkins was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Atkins and is survived by her daughter, Diane Stanley; son, Robert ( Becky) Smith; granddaughters, Denise (John) Stanley-Van Gils, and Ashley Smith; grandson, Justin Smith, and her best friend, Nancy Hermsen. Services will be as follows: Visitation Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 6pm to 8pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 1pm at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
