She received her early education in Plan Dealing and Benton Louisiana. She furthered her education in Houston Texas at Texas Southern University.
She accepted Christ as her Savior at eleven years of age, under the leadership of Reverend L. Walker at Elizabeth Baptist Church in Plain Dealing Louisiana.
After moving to Houston Texas, she joined Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend E. D. William. Later, she united with First New Mount Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend William C. Jones, Sr.
Later, the church moved and she joined Saint John Missionary Baptist Church in Houston Texas where she remained until she united with Hiram Clarke Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Wyman J. Webster Sr.
Prior to retirement, she worked 32 years at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Carrie Bryant, sister, Sammie Carrie Sweed, granddaughter, Danita Rachelle Collins, grandson, Keyvin Mack, and son-in-law John Henry Mack.
She leaves to cherish her in memory three sons, Reverend Kenneth W. Bryant (Brenda Joyce), Deacon Perry J. Bryant (Wannetta), Deacon Zerrie L. Hines (Zelda); three daughters, Brenda G. Collins (Willie), Glenda P Mack and Dr. Karen R. Bryant; an adopted son, Michael Ramsey (Sonja); 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends
