Ouida B Ellis

Ouida Ellis was born on April 24, 1933 in Hempstead, Texas. She passed peacefully at the age of 82 on November 28, 2015 in Spring, Texas. She was raised in Houston, Texas. She was married in 1951. She retired from JC Penney’s after working there 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She is preceded by her loving husband, Harry Ellis Sr; her sister, Maureen Strange and daughter-in-law, Catherine Ellis.

She is survived by daughter, Gwendolyn Ellis; her son, Harry Ellis Jr, & his wife Tammie Ellis; her grandchildren, Raechel Haught & Seth D. Wright, Harry Ellis III & Connie Ellis, Kevin Ellis & Chila Marines, Chase Ellis & Malia Ellis; great-grandchildren, Story Linneman, Khairi Ellis, Logan Ellis, Seth C. Wright and Juniper Ellis (who will arrive early spring 2016).

The family will receive friends Friday, December 4, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment services will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
