To the family of Aunt Otheal.

As the years pass we all have our little circles that get smaller and smaller. Even with this said I did get the opportunity to see Otheal and visit with her a while. She would sometimes call me and we would talk about old memories. A subject that was dear to her heart. When My mother passed she helped me with informing the family members. Although they had not been the closest of sisters, she often told me of stories when my mother was little. These I will always treasure. Thank You Aunt Otheal. God bless you and all that will miss you.

Ode those that would place their family, before their own ambitions. Ode, to the soul of our nation. Women. For if it is men, that are the history, it is surely woman, that are the soul. Ode, to those who provide, protect and guide their loved ones. Ode, to those that know the difference, between compromising and belief. Ode, to all who react, to the plight of those less fortunate. Ode, to the parents of this world, who teach their children the values of life and living. Ode, to the countless millions, who give of themselves and
ask nothing in return. Ode, to those who consciously attempt, to make this a better world. For if we want a better world, each of us, must try and be better.
Otheal, you are the soul of your family and you have made this world a better place. I love and miss you dearly.  Until we meet again.

It was an honor and pleasure to have known Mrs. Otheal she was a wonderful person to work for she also became a very good friend, I'll never forget her,may God Bless and keep her family at this time of berivement.

What an amazing woman Mrs. Dowdy was! Her heart was feisty, her humor was splendid fun for everyone around her, and her loving ways were a lesson for us all. It was an honor to be present in her final days. My prayers surround both her and her wonderful family, who remain here as her living legacy. Blessings to you all.

My life has truly been blessed from knowing and caring for Otheal for almost 2 years. I will never forget the good, and sometimes not so good, times we had together. She was a great lady and had so much love for her family and friends. At the end, one of the memories that will stand out in my mind is how her face would light up when she talked about her great grandson, Liam, or Buster, as she called him.  Thank you Cathie and Genie for allowing me to be a part of her life. I loved her deeply and I will miss her so much, but I know she is with her Bill now. Love and prayers to all of the family.

I met sweet "Ms Dowdy" a few weeks ago when I became one of her caregivers. We became instant good friends. She was kind, demanding, funny, cranky and a load of fun. It was a privilege and honor to be with her, and likewise a gift, to meet her family. Her family adored her, she adored them, and there was never a question about that. 
As her days waned, she wanted those who she loved most, nearby. The family members never failed in that regard, and in her last couple of weeks, I know she had great consolation from them, as well as great laughter with them. 
Thank you, Buttercup, Sweetpea, Honey, and yes, Slick. I had lots of names for you, and I am sure you had a few for me. Thank you too, to the family I got to know, and came to love. Out of love, you did everything right.

Otheal was a wonderful neighbor, friend and adopted grandmother. We will miss her. Our prayers are with the family. Susan, Alyson and Darren Converse

Meno will be sadly missed by all who's lives she touched.  We only knew her since 2001 when our son met her grandaughter but she was a beautiful lady and friend.  She is now with her Bill.
