Oscar E. Ybarra

Oscar E. Ybarra, 73, born on June 25, 1938 in Temple, Texas entered into the arms of his Eternal Father on August 30, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andres Jaime and Anita Estrada Ybarra, brother, Andrew Ybarra, and sister, Rosa Lee Martinez. He is survived by his wife, Maria Elena Ybarra, daughters; Elizabeth Ann Loggins, Mary Helen White and husband Michael Lee White, sons; Oscar Ybarra, Jr., Jose Andres Ybarra, and Br. Esteban Antonio, MIC, his sister, Maria Esther Ramirez and husband Arturo, and his brother, Juan Carlos Ybarra, 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many close friends, relatives and co-workers. "Daddy was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, honorably discharged and served in Korea and Germany, as well as his secret mission to Vietnam. He was a resident of Houston for 40 years. Daddy was a true son of the Holy Catholic Church and was a wonderful example to all of his family in regards to faith in God." Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 1, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel, with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. The Holy Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2730 Nelwood, Houston, Texas 77038.
