I miss him terribly. Not only was  he a wonderful boss for a total of 50+ years, he was a kind compassionate friend who helped my family get over  several rough spots. I knew I could rely on him for the very best advice on many decisions. I will miss you my dear friend. Rest in Peace with many of your loved ones. Til we meet again.....

Mr. Hare was my employer and friend since 1966. As his career path went forward, he always took me with him and taught me what I needed to know. His patience and kindness will never be forgotten by my family and I.
He guided me and my girls through the challenges of single parent hood -- we always had the security of a stable income and a treasured friend and trusted advisor.  He was semi-retired when I retired but I never will forget him -- We had some laughs at some of my predicaments/mishaps over the years -- his kindness and generosity was sometimes hidden by the fact that his "bark was always worse than his bite".  Girls, may he rest in peace, secure in the knowledge that his family always came first.

Think of you everyday.  What good memories you and Mother made for us and left for us!

We sat side by side side at many Houston Oilers games but I’ll always remember meeting Buddy on December 7 1956 while interviewing for a job in Houston. He took me to lunch.  Yes, I got the job. 

Buddy and I grew up together. We were first cousins.our parents were brother and sister. we were  the only children and we lived close together and we played and argued a lot. one of our favorite games was TARZAN  and we would swing on a rope  across a very deep ditch and scream the Tarzan yell that you heard in the movies . we also climbed a persimmon tree in his yard and just sat there,why I am not sure ,but that is how you entertained yourself.Another pastimewas watching the tarantula spiders cross the road at night. 0ther playmates would join us for this attraction.we didnt see each other often as we grew  older, however I will  always remember the fun times. Love you Bud

My CPA firm had an office in Crosby State Bank.  Buddy and I had frequent extensive conversations over a wide range of topics. Whenever I had a business, financial or personal issue his analysis, advice and sense of humor was always appreciated.  He was a great story teller!  Never boring!  And very smart!  I will always cherish those memories.  

I will always be grateful for Mr. Hares support with preserving Crosby's history, first as the Chairman of the Chambers Historical Committee and then as the founding Chairman of the Crosby Historical Committee.  Buddy's family helped make Crosby history and he was instrumental in preserving it. 

Buddy was always a friend and always glad to see you. Like many others have said he was always good for an old time good story. He was truly a treasure of Crosby Tx. 
RIP Buddy

So sad to hear of Mr H's passing. As my boss from 1965 to 2009, he was a major part of mine and my girls' lives. Always patient and kind when you were struggling but quick to take you to task if you were slacking! As a single parent, it was such a comfort to know that I always had a steady income and opportunity to advance.  Mr. H. allowed me time off to care for my father and later, my mother; he stood by me during my high risk pregnancy and delivery, calling often to see if we needed anything.
He was so much more than a boss; he was much like a kindly uncle or big brother.
Rest in Peace, Mr. H. and thank you for everything; you will he missed.  "Sadee"

I will never forget how he helped me purchase the muffler shop in Crosby. He was a great business man and will be missed!

I will always remember how great you were to my momma and to me. You will be missed.  We love you so much!💖

Of all the the many, many good memories I have of OO, one that stands out is his famous bloody mary's on the balcony at the beach condo. About as close to Heaven on Earth as you can get!


You will always be missed Mr. Hare. Thank you for the opportunity and fond memories!
