To Everything There is a Season-Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Ollie M. Johnson was born in Sorrell, Louisiana on June 2, 1930 to Hilton Lawrence Johnson and Louise Ana Johnson. She was the oldest of three children.
Ollie became a member of the Fifth Ward Church of Christ over fifteen years ago. She remained a faithful member until her health failed her, within these last couple of years.
Ollie was employed by the University of Houston, from where she retired.
Like her mother, Ollie had a passion for cooking and being a caretaker of others. So after retirement, she enjoyed working with Australia and Zonceria, feeding and teaching kids of all ages in their nursery school. When it came to cooking, her pineapple cake was the “BOMB” and was a hit at every family gathering.
Ollie was preceded in death by her mother and her father. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister Australia, brother-Charles, Carlton Martin, Aunt-Elizabeth Ann Martin. A host of nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.
