OLLIE ESTELLE BASKIN - Nov. 20, 1914 - Aug. 17, 2010 A devoted Christian woman, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother who contributed warmth, devotion and strength to her family, friends and anyone in need, Ollie was the youngest of 13 children born to a ranching family in West Texas. As a child she experienced the family's move across Texas to the Tyler area by covered wagon. As a young adult she moved to Houston with her sister Lela and began a long career working with computers. She retired from Exxon in 1994 to spend her time working with the Women's Bible Study at the Southeast Church of Christ, traveling to places she had always dreamed about, and enjoying helping others. She had two sons: Franklin L. Smith who predeceased her, and Otis W. Baskin who lives in Malibu, California with his wife Maryan. In addition, Ollie is survived by two grandchildren: Janet Lauzon of San Leon, and Bruce Smith of Houston; Great Grandchildren: Christina Harlen, Lake Jackson, Shawndra Rennert, Houston, Bruce Smith Jr., Yokosuka, Japan, and Kristal Meyer, Magnolia, Texas; Great Great Grandchildren: Aryes Rennert, Blake Meyer Jr., and Bree Rennert. Funeral Service will be at Forest Park Lawndale, Saturday, August 21 at 2:00pm with burial to follow
