Norman John Warwick, 87, passed away peacefully on January, 18, 2011 with his family at his bedside. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lorraine, his five sons, Gary, Dennis, Rich, Robert, and Michael and his eleven grandchildren, Brian, Michael, Daniel, Mathew, Grace, Elizabeth, Mary, Paul, Steven, Elizabeth, and Santiago.
Norman was born and raised in Chicago, graduated from De La Salle High School in 1941, and served in the United States Army during WWII in France and England. He worked for the Exxon Corporation as an accountant, first in Tulsa, Oklahoma, then in Houston until his retirement in 1986.
But Norman's real career, his first priority and lasting devotion was his family-- his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends. His guiding hand, his steady and unselfish example, his wisdom, kindness, and humility leaves a large and lasting imprint on all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends for a visitation from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, January 21 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, January 22 at 11am at St. Catherine Catholic Church, 10688 Shadow Wood.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Catholic Charities in memory of Norman-- a loving husband, wonderful father, and generous gentleman.
