Norma Louise (Smith) Quesada went to be with her Lord on August 17, 2021. Norma was born on January 29, 1937 in Houston, Texas where she lived a wonderful life full of love, family, friends and enjoyed a successful career and amazing business relationships and colleagues. She married the love of her life, Richard Jesse Quesada on June 20, 1963, and together they raised a wonderful son Karl Ray Quesada and lived in their home in the Spring Branch area for more than four decades.
Norma is survived by her husband Richard, son Karl Ray and his wife Diane, and grandson Austin. She made hundreds of friends and famously treated everyone as her best friend.
Norma grew up in Galena Park, graduated from Galena Park High School in 1955, and went to study Business Marketing at the University of Houston. She worked as an executive assistant at Cameron Iron Works for many years, owned her own store and concluded her career in sales at Macy’s and Neiman Marcus. She was a Red Hat Sister, and a former 55-year Member at the American Business Women’s Association. She was also a member of the John Knox Pray & Garden Club.
Norma was well known for her many hobbies and her love of angels, butterflies, eagles, and shoes. It is hard to find many happy photographs of Norma because she so enjoyed being the family photographer and capturing every happy moment of the family and friends she loved.
We will be having a Memorial Service at St. Jerome Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 22nd at 10:00 am.
