Nona G. West

Nona West, 86, of New Waverly, Texas passed into eternal rest on April 12, 2017. She was born in Hammons, Oklahoma on November 12, 1930. Nona Mayberry West graduated from Hammons High School. She married Edward West on October 29, 1955 and was an at-home mom and wife. Crocheting and knitting were her passions.

She is survived by son, Raymond West; daughters: Carol Clearley and Mary Monday; sister, Odessa Thrasher and 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by son, Edward Calvin West and daughter, Barbara Ann Braswell; siblings: Roy Mayberry and Georgia Kenney.

Family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, April 17 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Funeral will be the following day, April 18 at 10:00 a.m. in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home with the interment following in Brookside Memorial Park.
