Well it’s been one year since my Aunt has passed … my memory of her has always been a pleasant one … she was always loving and hospitable to my family and I … a really gracious aunt and human being … our loss was Heavens gain … look forward to seeing u and uncle Alfred … I know there is Peace where both of u are … and Loli is with now … hope u had a great reunion 🕊️✝️🕊️

I really didn’t know what I would say in here because I have a lot of memories of my Tia Chica. And still don’t know where to start. I know that  she was a happy aunt and it didn’t take much to put a smile on her face. I always like to see her and my dad talk and laugh and have a good time. Daddy use to say just don’t make her mad because she will fire you up in a heart beat.I never saw that side of her , because she was so funny like my daddy . Tia chica and my father were so close and they called each other brother and sister. You could see the joy in their face when they would see each other . They both had a very special bond towards each other.The day before my father pass away he was in the hospital and Uncle Alfred and Tia Chica came to visit daddy. They stayed for awhile and when they were ready to leave the hospital daddy ask Tia Chica sister don’t leave stay with me. And of coarse she did. Not knowing that he would pass away the next day. I remember I was the one to call her to tell her that her brother passed away. Hearing her on the phone my heart just broke it half . Tia chica now you are reunited with my father “ Abel Del Toro” and the rest of your brothers and sisters and parents , now you won’t have to be apart from your family. You will really be miss. I want you to know that even though my father pass away  December 8, 2010 , I still had apart of him with me and that was YOU….. Thank you for begin my Aunt. Thank you for telling me that you would always be here for me. Until we meet again . 

Dear Uncle Alfred, Loli and Fred, we are so sorry over the loss of Aunt Noemi. As my mother's (Beatrice) paternal aunt, the youngest of the Del Toro generation of my Grandfather (Justino), she always seemed to me eternally youthful with her luminious smile ever present on her beautiful face. It was that legendary Del Toro smile that is so unforgettable with laughing eyes and such joy that you can see her heart literally beaming from within. This is how I picture her when she comes to mind. Such a loving, gracious and elegant lady that delighted in family and tradition. I'm so sorry we were unable to travel home to attend her services. However, please know our thoughts, prayers and love are with you today and in the difficult days ahead. Aunt Noemi was such a treasure. May the memory of her instill her grace, kindness and joy in the Del Toro generations to follow such an exquisite example... Our love, thoughts and prayers.. Jami & Dan Watkins & family..

Aunt Noemi was the baby of the Del Toro family and was my mom's (Josephine Martinez) sister.  Aunt Noemi was a sweet, kind, loving and generous person.   Our family was always greeted with a beautiful smile and a warm hug.  One of my special memories of her was when we visited at Noemi's Tacos - my personal favorite from the menu was the delicious carne guisada tacos AND the stories shared from a recent vacation or anything else happening.  Another fond memory was the Del Toro Reunion in 1999 - she brought a griddle so she could show anyone that was interested how to roll out and cook the tortillas.  That was fun - she was fun to be around!

When I was growing up Aunt Noemi became my role model, I wanted to be just like her! From her early years, I remember she always dressed very professional and worked as a secretary (I think).  As I got older and nearing graduation I knew exactly what I wanted to do.  I didn't become a secretary but being inspired by Aunt Noemi I was fortunate enough to begin at a place that led me to later further my career at a major  corporation.  I'm not sure that I ever shared these sentiments with her, but if I didn't I know Aunt Noemi is smiling as she is reading this.

We can all be thankful and blessed that God placed such a beautiful person on this earth.  She committed herself to being a good and faithful servant - she was our Angel here on earth and now she's our Angel in Heaven watching over us.  

Tia, you will always hold a special place in mine and Johnny's heart and we will always love you!

Sincere condolences to Cousin Alfred, Loli and extended family.  We will always remember Noami beautiful smile. I’m sharing a photo from my parents anniversary 6/17/90.  We love are extended family in Houston.  hugs to everyone from your San Antonio family.  

My deepest condolences to the Rodriguez and Del Toro family. Aunt Noemi is my mothers aunt and my late Grandma Josephine Martinez’s sister. I have many great memories of Aunt Noemi growing up as we would frequently go visit her and Uncle Alfred at their restaurant in Houston on I45 and Park Place. I will always remember seeing her in her happy place, smiling to greet you as you walk in and her in her apron ready to prepare your favorite order. She was always so sweet to me and my family. May she rest in peace for eternity. 

My condolences to the Rodriguez Family. I have a lot of memories As a kid I could share of my Tía Noemi, she was my dad’s youngest sister & they were close as we were to her. One of my favorite memories was when we would go to Palestine for the weekend. Tía & Tío made it a lot of fun.  It’s hard to believe that your gone, but never forgotten. I’m going to miss you, but I will always carry you in my heart & the memories I have of you. Rest In Peace, I love you forever.

My memories go back 66 years. I can't think of a time that my Madrina Noemi wasn't in my life. And there won't be a day, looking forward, that she will not be in my heart. Alfred and Loli, my prayers are with you. Noemi, I'll love you always. I'm sharing a photo taken of us from your wedding day, 1956. I was so proud to be standing next to you and Alfred on this special occasion.
