Noal "Sonny" Edward Johnson

Sonny married Sue Graham on April 10, 1952, they were married for 71 years. Sonny retired as an Oilfield Design Draftsman. He was a proud past Mason and was a part of Masonic Grey Lodge 329.

Sonny was always “ready to go” as his family describes him. His children recall while growing up that if they weren’t ready when their dad was ready to leave the house they had to finish getting ready in the car. His desire to be out and about spanned from going out to eat to going on a trip to hunt and fish wherever he could. Every Sunday, for over 12 years, he could count on going to breakfast with his nephew, Jerry.

He survived by his wife, Sue Johnson; daughters, Karen Black and husband Harvey, Elaine James and husband, Howard, Earlene Jenkins and husband Ray; seven grandchildren, Angela Gedmin and husband Joe, John Black and wife Stephanie, Shannon Missildine and husband Brad, Alena Hilbun and husband Lawrence; Amanda James, Stacey Colburn and husband Jason, Nathan Jenkins and wife Candice; sixteen great-grandchildren; 9 great great- grandchildren; brother, Don Johnson and wife Wilma; sister-in-law, Marilyn Johnson Midkiff and husband Don; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Sonny will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 W 34th St., Houston, TX 77018. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 6, 2023 at 12:00 PM, 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, TX 77018. A committal service will occur Friday, October 6, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Rosewood Memorial Park, 2602 S Houston Ave, Humble, TX 77396.
