Noah Alexander Fox

Noah Alexander Fox – son, brother, grandson, nephew, friend, boyfriend, artist and amazingly awesome and gentle soul – died on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at his family home in Cypress, TX. He was 17 years old and a Junior at Bridgeland High School.

Born on November 8, 2005 to Billy and Shannon Fox, Noah was a living example of love. He liked nothing more than making other people happy. His hobbies were diverse. He enjoyed anime – drawing, reading and viewing – video games, scuba diving, hanging out with friends, listening to music, experimenting in the kitchen, photography, growing the hottest peppers humanly possible, eating the hottest hot sauces humanly possible, having philosophical conversations about life with his mama, going on food tours with his dad, looking up to and admiring his big bro, and laughing at the antics of his little sister and her friends whom he enjoyed calling “basic white girls”.

Noah had a special relationship with his Papa and Nana Komives. He visited them every spring break and summer in Florida and cherished his time with them while fishing, running errands, helping them with chores around their house and telling them to turn their hearing aids on! While in Florida, he also took up scuba diving, achieving his PADI Open Water, Advanced Open Water and Nitrox certifications. Diving with Aunt Lisa and friends filled Noah’s heart with joy and contentment. It also earned him the nickname, Aquaman!

As a profoundly kind soul, with an intense sense of empathy, Noah was subject to depression, which he battled for several years. Despite his best efforts and medication, he chose to end his own life. Depression lied to Noah and told him that the world would be better off without him. For the rest of our lives, his family and friends will feel a gaping hole in our lives where Noah should have been. Please, please if you, or anyone you know, is feeling suicidal, get help. Noah is survived by his parents; his older brother, Ethan; his younger sister, Sarah; his maternal grandparents, Alex and Mary Komives; his paternal grandfather, Larry Fox; his paternal grandmother, Sang Fox; his best friends Ethan, Theo, and Sorren; his love, Shade; and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his baby brother, Kaden Alexander Fox; his maternal grandfather, Harland “Sonny” Winland; and his paternal grandmother, Debbie Fox.

Funeral services will be held at the Brookside Funeral Home – Cypress Creek in Cypress, TX on March 7, 2023 with visitation from 5-6p and the service beginning at 6p. All are welcome. Noah was not the fancy sort, and as a teenage boy, his outfit of choice was jeans and a hoodie; which is exactly what you will see him in at his funeral. Please don’t let any expectation of funeral dress code keep you from attending. You are welcome as you are. At Noah’s request, burial will take place in Parker, CO at a future date.
