Ninfa Rosson, age 81, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013 in Spring, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilberto and Herlinda Sanchez. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, William C. Rosson of Houston, Texas and their children Brent Rosson and his children Kristina and her sons, Isaiah and Israel, Jennifer and her children Jordan, Madison and Zoe and Cody and his children Andrew and Liam; Carol Cockrell and her son Nicholas; and Douglas Rosson and his children Jacalyn, Cole, Noah, Madalyn and Tyler. She is also survived by her sisters Oralia Cain and Melba Cuevas; and numerous cousins and nieces, other relatives and friends.
She was born on March 24, 1932 in Houston, Texas where she graduated from Sam Houston High School. She married her sweetheart William C. Rosson on November 13, 1954 and devoted her 36 year career at M. D. Anderson Hospital. In retirement she generously gave of her time to her children and grandchildren and was an active member of Champions Forest Baptist Church. She enjoyed many creative pursuits as well as vacations with her family. Ninfa was a strong, proud and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She fought her illness with courage, grace and dignity. She will be remembered for her love of family and good friends, her heritage, her faith and her beautiful and creative spirit. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Champions Forest Baptist Church, 15555 Stuebner Airline Road, Houston, Texas 77069.
