Nicholas (Nick) B. Hernandez

Nicholas “Nick” B Hernandez went to be with his Lord on April 24, 2016. He was born on August 6, 1965 in Houston, Texas to parents Nicholas Hernandez, Sr. and Ester Barajas. Nicholas worked in Shipping and Receiving in with Fluid Systems. He had a passion for sports and served as umpire for many teams in the Houston Area; with his great sense of humor, Nicholas was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend that will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved him. He is survived children: Nicholas Hernandez and Matthew Hernandez; granddaughter Camryn Elizabeth Hernandez; mother Ester Moreno and step father Daniel Moreno; sisters: Elena Valdez, Diana Sanchez and Deyanira Moreno; brothers: Pete Hernandez, Daniel Moreno and Henry Valdez and numerous nieces, nephew and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father Nicholas Hernandez, Sr. and grandparents Severiano Barajas and Petra Barajas.

The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home Family Chapel, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039 with a rosary at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4918 Cochran Street, Houston, Texas 77009 followed by a rite of committal in Brookside Memorial Park and Cemetery.
