Nellie L. Kummer

She is survived by her children, Bonnie Fox of Onalaska, Beverly Moore of Pearland, Nancy Kummer of Pearland, Betty Koleilat of Houston, Will Kummer of Magnolia, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Nellie loved people, but she loved her children the most.

After losing her beloved husband, Will, to lung cancer she became both father and mother to her five children.

She was the rock that kept the family together. In addition to being the world's best mother, Nellie volunteered at church and at hospitals. While in her eighties she was recognized for her volunteer service at Park Plaza Hospital. She enjoyed attending Lutheran Church but missed it in her later years.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 26 at 11 a.m. at Forest Park Lawndale.
