Nelda Jewel Flynn

Nelda Jewel Flynn went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2017. Nelda was born in Madisonville, Texas to parents Walter and Jewel Waldrip. She moved to Houston and married her loving husband Earl. They made the Houston Heights area their home together for 58 years.

Her great loves in life included family, friends and her faith. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy. She loved the outdoors and treasured the years spent together at the family lake house.

Preceded in death by devoted husband Earl. Survived by loving daughters Kathy Flynn, Beverly Flores and husband Gilbert, Stacey Bartula and husband David. Grandchildren Jeffrey and wife Angelica, Jeremy and wife Betsy, Austin and Connor. Great-grandchildren Jasmine, Jenna, Jack, Addie and Hunter.

A memorial service will be held at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home, 1200 W. 34th St. Houston, Texas 77018 on Thursday, May 18th at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held one hour prior at 10:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery following the service.
