A visitation will be held Wednesday May 30th, 2018, 5:00 – 8:00PM at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home on W. 34th St. in Houston Texas. A service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018, at St. Stephen’s Methodist Church on W.43rd St. in Houston. Burial will follow the service at Resthaven Cemetery on the North Freeway.
Born in McKinney, Texas, on April 26, 1939, she was the daughter of James Dow Wilmeth and Ophelia (Webb) Wilmeth. Nancy was an active member of St. Timothy’s United Methodist Church in Houston until the church disbanded and she continued her service St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church. Nancy was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She was a loving spirit that cared for all she met as if they were her own. She loved to eat dessert first, “because you have to make sure you have room for it”. She also enjoyed drinking a cup of coffee with friends, and always had a hot pot ready when you walked in the door. She enjoyed traveling and spent many nights with her Husband, Ray, in their RV. Nancy was known mostly as Grandma, or G-Ma. She enjoyed attending every special event for a loved one, be it a sports game, graduation, or choir recital, her continuous presence was always a warm welcoming. She loved spending time with her family and she will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her loving Husband, Ernest Ray Buck, her parents, James Dow Wilmeth and Ophelia (Webb) Wilmeth; and her brother, James Nathan Wilmeth, of McKinney, Texas.
Nancy is survived by her children, Carol Jay Ford and husband Bobby, of Tomball, Cuba Rene Greer, of Houston, Jamie Sue McPherson and Husband Jim, of Richmond, Garry Ray Buck and wife Mary, of Cypress, and her “Texas Son” Tony Zuccarini and wife Diane, of Houston; grandchildren, Victoria Ojeda and husband Miguel, Amanda Johnson and husband Chris, Lindsey Mathison and husband Kevin, Robert Ford and wife Jennifer, Leasa Roy and husband Jordan, Jonathan Buck and wife Kristen, Ryan Williams and husband Dalton, Heather Collins and husband John, Suzie Walker and husband Micaiah, Angela Kelly and husband Kyle. Her greatest pride and joy were her Great-Grandchildren, including: Rourk and Luke Walker, Kenzie and Braden Mathison, Camila and Aaron Ojeda, Trey and Zoey Ford, Case and Avery Johnson, Lila Roy, and Hudson Williams.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Ford, Jonathan Buck, Miguel Ojeda, Jordan Roy, John Collins, Micaiah Walker, Dalton Williams and Kevin Mathison.
