Naadir moved on from this life on November 19th, on his own terms; at home surrounded by his family and their love. Since 2020 he had bravely battled colon cancer, as much a source of courage and care to those around him as they were to him.
To know Naadir was to love him – for Naadir, no one was a stranger, young or old. He spread joy wherever he went but loved his family and friends above all else. He was happiest with his family close around him.
He was a crypto king, NFT aficionado, gym guru, inspiration, and gift to those who knew him. Naadir felt it was his duty to share his cancer journey with others and inspire them, whether it was pictures of him working out in the gym or ringing the bell after a round of chemo.
He had a tremendous vitality that shone through even in his darkest hours. Naadir’s innate kindness, generosity, and empathy touched everyone he met.
He is survived by his parents, Ouvnere and Behramji Mehta, his sister and brother-in-law, Mitra and Chet Murthy, his grandparents, Sam and Gooloo Polad, his many aunts, uncles, and cousins who were like second parents and siblings, and his friends who became family.
The family would like to thank everyone for their well wishes, love, and support. They would also like to thank his medical team at MD Anderson Cancer Center for the care and compassion they showed Naadir.
A funeral for Naadir will be held Friday, November 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Forest Park Westheimer, 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston, TX 77077. Following the funeral will be a witness cremation at Chapel of Eternal Peace Crematory, 2545 S. Dairy Ashford Rd., Houston, Texas 77077.
