Myra's life was her husband, children, church and friends. As a youngster, Myra lived on a farm and was a mule skinner. She has been an active member of Fair Haven United Methodist church for 63 years, having joined in 1961. She served as a former board member, and held many positions with the UMW and was active in many other interests within the church.
Myra was preceded in death by her parents, Olivia E. and Oscar A. Rohde, her loving husband, Gilbert B. Pinkerton and her twin sister, Annabelle Weisner. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Donaldson, son, Darrell Pinkerton and his wife, Eileen Pinkerton and by daughter, Lynda White. Also surviving are her beloved five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of a formal service, a visitation with the family was held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road, Houston, Texas. Graveside services followed at 3:00 p.m. in Salty Cemetery with Reverend Robert "Bob" Luton, officaiting. Pallbearers were Brian Donaldson, John Kurkjian, John Cantu, Darrell Pinkerton, Kurtt Pinkerton and James Sanders.
