Musa Najeeb Musallam of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully on Friday, April 14, 2023. Born in Birzeit, Palestine on April 17, 1971 to Rev. Najeeb and Abla Musallam Musa, he is survived by his mother Abla, children Angelina (18), Sabrina (17), and Najeeb (16), the mother of his children Amira, younger brothers (Danie, John, James, and Saleem), and their families.
Musa was a proud Palestinian with a deep love for his hometown of Birzeit. He will always be remembered for having profound love for his children, being the life of the party, possessing a generous heart, and personifying a larger-than-life optimistic spirit!
Musa immigrated to the United States in 1987. Later, when his entire family moved to the U.S. in 1991, he took on the role as head of a household of seven at the young age of 20. In his career, he spent almost 10 years at GTE (now Verizon) where he excelled—earning many national awards as a top performer in every role he took on. Musa went on to lead several corporations and, as an entrepreneur at heart, started his first company, MNM Distribution. MNM Distribution later obtained recognition as one of the 100 fastest-growing companies in the U.S by Inc. Magazine.
Musa met the love of his life, Amira, and wed in 2002. Musa’s love for Amira was vast and deep in his heart until his passing day. Together they had three beautiful children: Angelina, Sabrina, and Najeeb. Musa was extremely proud of all three of his children; he often spoke of Angelina’s kindness, Sabrina’s intelligence, and Najeeb’s resourcefulness. Additionally, Musa’s four brothers looked up to him more as a father-figure than their eldest brother. He gave back to his community and donated his time to many charitable causes including the Birzeit Society and the Arab American Cultural and Community Center in Houston.
Musa was larger than life and will forever live in our hearts!
