Mike H. Kawaja, 82, Passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 in Houston, Texas. He was born in Ramallah, Palestine on March 1, 1934 to Hafiz and Milada Kawaja. Mr. Kawaja was a owner of several successful businesses. He was survived by his loving wife of 48 years Karimeh Kawaja; daughters, Abeer Srour and her husband Ghasoub, Karen Khalaf and her husband Johnny; sons; Walid Kawaja and his wife Darlene, Jawad Kawaja and his wife Tahmina. He is also survived by his sisters; Helwa Kawaja, Sumaya Kawaja, Siham Kawaja, Suad Kawaja; brothers Fuad Kawaja, Eisa Kawaja, Hussam Kawaja and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm on Friday, September 23, 2016 at St. George Orthodox Christian Church, 5311 Mercer St. Houston, Texas 77005. Trisagion Prayers of Mercy will follow the visitation at 7:00 pm at St. George Orthodox Christian Church. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. George Orthodox Christian Church, 5311 Mercer St. Houston, Texas 77005. Interment will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery 12800 Westheimer Rd. Houston, Texas 77077. Following the Interment at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery a Meal of Mercy will be served in the church hall at St. George Orthodox Christian Church, 5311 Mercer St. Houston, Texas 77005. Arrangements are under the direction of Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, Houston, TX.
