Ms. Wanda Coleman

Wanda  Yvonne Coleman was born on February 15, 1964 in Houston, Texas to Josephine Hill Coleman and Horace Lee Coleman. Wanda grew up in a loving, caring, and religious family, enjoying her position in the family as the baby girl. Her big sister – Leslie (aka Trese) played a big role in Wanda’s development and care in her early years. Wanda accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and attended Duncan Memorial Church of God in Christ with her family. She attended Anson Jones Elementary, E. O. Smith Junior High, and Phyllis Wheatley High School. She worked retail during and briefly after high school.  God shared Wanda with us for 54 years.  She went home to meet Him on February 22, 2018. Wanda was preceded in death by her father – Horace Coleman and her brother – James Coleman. She leaves to cherish her memory a mother, Josephine Hill Coleman; four brothers, Charles Dwayne Hill (Yolanda), Horace Coleman, Joseph Coleman (Jennifer), Reginald Coleman; one sister, Leslie Coleman; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
