Stella J. Price was born on November 9, 1951 to Ola Mae Price (Perry) in Nacogdoches, Texas. Stella moved to Houston, Texas as a small child. She graduated from Kashmere High School in 1971. After graduation, Stella attended Massey Business School. Stella had several professions, one of which she worked with juveniles for Harris County. In 1974, she started working for the City of Houston. She later became a Supervisor for the Municipal Courts and retired after over 28 years of service. Stella accepted Christ at an early age. She was the Program Coordinator at Community Temple and she formed a singing group. She later became a member of Mt. Zion Apostolic Baptized Church of Jesus Christ under the leadership of Pastor Patsy R. Jones. Stella learned from her mother to be a giver. Stella would help anyone that had a need. She had a big heart and she would give her last if it was needed. Stella was known for her flamboyant fashions. She loved clothes and shoes and was always well dressed. Stella departed this life on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital after battling a longtime illness. Stella was preceded in death by her mother, Ola Mae Perry, her father, Robie E. Perry, her sister, Reena Carter and her nephew, Deontwon Perry. She is survived by her sister, Gladys Williams (Eddie), her nephews, Trouble Carter (Sherrell), Eddie E. Williams, her nieces, Stelneka Alberts (Mitchell), Octavia R. Williams, and grand-nephews and nieces, her God-daughter, MarQuitta Jones, her Aunts Pastor Patsy R. Jones, Evang. Ruth Williams, Jeannie Bell, her Uncles Minister Donnell Price (Lois), Richard Murchison and Leon Price and a host of family and friends.
