Patricia Ann Davis Smith was born June 16, 1955, in Houston, Texas. Patricia was the first child born to Adeo Davis and Jessie Davis. She was raised in Fifth Ward and attended Kashmere Senior High School where she played basketball, volleyball and participated in the high school band. She graduated in 1973. Upon graduation she became a teacher’s attendant for special needs children. Patricia had two children, a daughter LaSwarl Dickens and a son, Eddie Earl Dickens. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and husband Donnell Smith who she joins in death as well. Patricia is survived by one child and three grandchildren, Napoleon Brexton II, D’Angelo Dwynel Braxton, and Kynedi Monique Braxton; her sisters, Mary Davis, Jenice Tatum; her brothers, Gary Davis, Rodney Davis all of Houston, Texas; her nieces and nephews, Adeo Davis, Lontay Darius, Antwoin Broussard, Jomar Crawford, Darvis Lindsey, Bryttani Davis and Gwendolyn Broussard; great nieces and nephews, A’Milluin, TaJoe, De’Lyunn, King Omarion, Adeo Jr., Ariyanna, and Mandria Davis. Mrs. Smith was a mother to everyone. She was very loving and giving and she always made us smile. She sang like an angel and she loved cooking and feeding everyone. Patricia had a heart as big as Texas and would always be honest whether you wanted to hear it or not. She was one in a million. GOD doesn’t make women like her anymore.
