Olivia Sampson was born on September 30, 1937 to the loving parents Veal and Olivia Lavan. A native Houstonian, Olivia attended Houston public schools, where she became a graduate of Phillis Wheatley High School. She worked in the field of Private Care Giver. Olivia was a very kind hearted and generous person and was adored by many. Olivia attended Family of Faith Fellowship Church, where she became a member under the pastoralship of Bishop B. Patrick Glenn. Olivia was preceded in death by her parents Veal and Olivia LaVan; three brothers Richard LaVan, Clarence LaVan and Wilbert LaVan; two sisters Majorie Holly and Audrey Alley. Olivia leaves to cherish her memories one son Roy Lee Sampson; one daughter Virgil Hutson (Felix); one godson Man E. Ridley, Jr.; three granddaughters, one grandson, four grandchildren; four sisters Mary Grimes, Mary Meadows, Sylvia Preston and Earnestine Bradford; three best friends Selma Dorsey, Mae Ella Ridley and Essie Bea???; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
